Seminar: Some Aspects of Host Immunity that may Impact the Aerosol Transmission of Respiratory Viruses

The Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health (D²4H) and the School of Public Health at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) jointly organised a seminar titled “Some Aspects of Host Immunity that may Impact the Aerosol Transmission of Respiratory Viruses” on April 23, 2025.

We were pleased to have invited Dr Julian Tang, Honorary Associate Professor/Consultant Virologist, Respiratory Sciences from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, to deliver an insightful presentation exploring the variability in immune responses, strategies for managing respiratory infections—including vaccination, masking, and distancing—and shared valuable case studies. The seminar also tackled key questions on immunity, reinfection, and approaches to controlling virus transmission.
We thank all participants who joined us and contributed to the success of this seminar. Stay tuned for more updates on our future events and initiatives.
