D²4H’s publication has been recognised as Health Affairs’ top 10 Editor’s Picks of 2023

D²4H’s Senior Research Director Dr Leesa Lin and her team have recently published the study “Substantial Disparities In COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake And Unmet Immunization Demand In Low- And Middle-Income Countries” in Health Affairs which has been recognised as one of its top 10 Editor’s Picks of 2023.

The study highlights that vaccine accessibility remains a major factor contributing to low uptake beyond the issue of hesitancy to vaccinate. Low- and middle-income countries still face challenges in obtaining adequate access to mRNA vaccines, resulting in high unmet demand. To achieve higher vaccination rates across different regions, it is crucial to address barriers to vaccine access and overcome hesitancy.

Congratulations to the team’s remarkable achievement!
